Weapon Engraving Services

Available fonts (style) 4 Japanese fonts, 3 English fonts
Depth The stronger the laser, the deeper the engraving. Superficial is quite discreet, standard is deep enough to stand forever, deep can go up to 1 mm depth and creates a burning effect within the engraving.
Free transcriptions You can write your name in English and select a "Japanese" font, in which case we will take care of the transcription. Note that several translations exist for the same name and that we cannot accept claims. (Please use the text field to add a comment if the pronunciation is unusual. If you already have a translation, please attach a picture). We do not translate expressions or initials, only names or words. Requests for expressions translations will be ignored and refunded. Please also note that initials cannot be translated into Japanese. Consequently, they will always be engraved in English.
Number of engravings You can order a maximum of 3 engravings per weapon from this page. The modules N1, N2, and N3 correspond to the engravings Number 1, number 2, and number 3. These modules are identical and you can add them in the order you wish. Of course, we cannot engrave twice in the same place, so please pay attention to the chosen positions.

      Available in Red or White Oak only

      A red oak or white oak weapon set including a standard Bokken sword, a standard diameter Jo (24 mm), and a classic Tanto. Each weapon is made from a single piece of high-quality white oak from the southern islands of Kyushu (Japan). This Japanese wooden weapon set is ideal for beginners, for those who want to renew their weapons at a low price or simply buy Aikido training weapons for traveling to seminars!

      The composite cotton/linen brown carrying bag is basic but solid, with an adaptable shoulder strap and two tightening straps to avoid clashing between weapons. The cover can hold weapons of maximally 135 cm. (All items of this set can be purchased separately.)

      • Contains: Standard Bokken, Classic Jo, Tanto, and Cotton/Linen Bag
      • Finish: Camellia oil polish
      • Manufacturing workshop: Aramaki

      For this model, we complete the workshop finishes with Camelia oil treatment by default. This is the standard Seido finish. We do not apply any additional polishing for this finish, so some weapons might have a slightly rough surface. For a higher quality finish, please consider our deluxe models, which are available with our "Seido Special Finish". For maintenance, we recommend that you oil your weapons about once a month with a vegetal-based oil.

      Don't let the 'basic' fool you—this is a great set!

      Well-crafted jo, bokken, and tanto. Jo in particular is quite nice; dense, heavy, and smooth. All three are nicely balanced and perfect for practice. Even though it's called a 'basic' set, they feel like they're higher end because of the attention to detail and craftsmanship. A great value!

      Les produits ont été commandés le 1er décembre et déjà livrés le 9 décembre. Le seul bémol concerne le transporteur et/ou livreur qui a jeté le colis par dessus le portail alors que sur le paquet un adhésif stipulait FRAGILE. Espère que rien n'a été cassé mais comme c'est pour un cadeau je ne veux pas ouvrir le colis. Normalement j'aurais dû recevoir un SMS ou un mail me précisant le jour de livraison. Cependant je recommande SEIDOSHOP pour leur professionnalisme et leur courtoisie dans les échanges de mails.

      J'ai commandé un Set d'AIKIDO qui est arrivé 12 jours plus tard. A noter qu'il y a 2 weekend dans l’intervalle donc un délai très raisonnable pour un voyage à l'autre bout du monde. De plus le service client est réactif et a votre écoute.

      Les produits sont de haute qualité ! Des membres de mon dojo étant 4éme dan avec 40 ans de pratique ont été subjugués par la glisse du Jo et la légèreté du Bokken.
