  • Classic White Juban (Hadagi)

    Made in Kyoto (Japan)
Material: 100% Cotton (collar reinforcement in polyester)
    Color: White (bleached)
    Size: M, L or XL
    Weight: ~ 350 g

The Juban or Hadagi is usually worn under traditional Kimono or sometimes under a Samue to avoid skin contact with materials that are not the most comfortable.
It is also often worn by Iaido, Kyudo and Kenjutsu practitioners under their jacket, for the same reasons.
For maximum comfort, this model is made of 100% cotton and to keep it in place during practice, this model features strings on the in- and outside.

Okumi Cut: traditional front inside panel on the front edge of the left and right. Until the collar, down to the bottom of the dress goes, up and down part of the strip of cloth.

This Juban collar features a polyester core allowing the jacket to keep a good shape at all times.
Note that this model is fairly long and has relatively long sleeves. We recommend checking the size table and paying attention to the sleeves length.

We especially recommend the Juban with the Tetron Iaido Jacket to improve comfort on the skin.
We also recommend it if you feel a little cold in your Dojo, under any jacket model you wear.

Juban are unisex and can be worn by men and women equally.
Can be machine washed in cold water.

    Very Nice Juban

My recently purchased juban arrived very quickly, just in time for Christmas. It is made of quality material and I love the stiff collar. As I saw mentioned in other posts, the inside tie is sewn on quite lightly, in the first washing of the garment it came off. It is only a stitching issue which I will fix in time. I currently can get by just fine with the outer tie. I highly recommend the garment regardless.

    High quality

High quality Juban. Thick collar, strong ties, quality stitching.
    Large size fits me well - 180cm + 80kg.
    Very happy with this purchase.

    Good juban

One of the reasons I appreciate ordering from Seido is that I don't need to second guess the quality or business practices. I chose this juban due to the collar and sizing, all which turned out work great. For a bit I was concerned if I'm too fat for this, but in the end it wasn't a problem.

    Classic Juban

My recently purchased juban arrived very quickly by courier. Nice material. Good looking garment. As mentioned in other posts, the inside tie is sowed on quite poorly. My came off on the first try. Only a thread issue, so can easily be reattached. Still a real shame though. I still recommend the garment and thank Seido is great company.

Thank you very much for your review.

Just to be sure, we checked every single Juban we had in stock trying to understand the issue you described.
The Himo (tie) on the inside is sewn directly into the hem which is why there is no need for double stitching actually.
Hence, if the tie came off, this means that the entire hem ripped open, and compared to nylon thread this cotton fabric is more fragile, which would mean that the fabric would rip before the thread.

Perhaps it was an issue on this specific model you received, but I'm afraid we're not sure we understand the nature of the problem.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

    Très bien

Ce juban est de très bonne qualité
Envoi rapide et pas de douane
Il serait bien de pouvoir avoir le même sans le col polyester et les cordon de serrage
