Composition: bamboo lath attached loosely and covered with fabric.
Length: 30 cm | Weight: ~140 gThe shinai tanto is manufactured in the same workshop as our fukuroshinai, bamboo slats are loosely tied and covered with canvas including a leather reinforcement on kissaki (the tip), allowing more intense training than with a wooden tanto, but is still more rigid than the foam version. Its weight is slightly higher than a classic wooden tanto. It harbors a band of synthetic leather to symbolize the knife blade. This model has to be held on the opposite side of the synthetic leather reinforcement.
