| Depth | The stronger the laser, the deeper the engraving. Superficial is quite discreet, standard is deep enough to stand forever, deep can go up to 1 mm depth and creates a burning effect within the engraving. |

This decorative support (Katanakake) is made of luxury elm wood with a "Jidai Shiage" finish, and is ideal for exhibiting your Iaito, Katana Bokken or Shoto.
This model differs from the Tokusei Keyaki version by its outstanding wood selection and finish.
In addition to the exceptional quality of wood selected for this model, it has a "Jidai" (time) finish. This finish consists of burning the wood from the outside before varnishing it. "Jidai Shiage" is a technique that hardens the wood, prevents the color from fading over time and makes the wood patterns and nodes visible more clearly. This is a faithful reproduction of the models produced during the Edo period.Delivered non-assembled, easy to build (no screws).

The Josei (upper) Keyaki (Japanese Elm) corresponds to a selection of top quality elm. Also known as Ulmus in Latin, it is a solid wood of high quality and durability which makes it a timber of choice. Traditionally widely used in the manufacture of luxurious decorative objects, elm is now mostly used for traditional crafts (such as antique reproductions). Indeed, after an illness affecting elm worldwide, the amount of wood available in the 20th century greatly diminished, making it an even more valuable wood.
