Weaving: Shigeuchi Style (thick texture)

Length: 210 cm

Available in: Black, Navy, Brown, Tetsukon (blue-grey), White and Purple

This high-end plain cotton Sageo, Shigeuchi style weaving is also called "Shigekumi". Both names meaning simply "thick". This type of sageo was widely used during the Tensho era (1573 - 1592).

This model feature a simple colored pattern, firmly tightened, making it a rather thick, and thanks to the high-quality cotton a long-lasting Sageo.

Available in 6 colors. The blue-gray is a Japanese traditional color, called "Tetsu-kon" - metal blue.

These Sageo are identical to those offered with our Minosaka Iaito. Fits well with any type of Iaito and Shinken (Katana).

Brown Sageo
I purchased this Sageo in Brown. The Colour and feel is just perfect. I have used cheaper Sageo from other suppliers and they have frayed and pulled and lost shape. 220cm in just long enough. Once again fine Japanese Craftsmanship and excellent shipping. Thankyou Seido Budoka for your fine work in these difficult times. :)
