Those made in Japan Fuchi and Kashira represent a Dragon. In Buddhism, the Dragon is the protector of the divine law. Dragons are sometimes seen as gods or very powerful beings able to bring various kinds of good and evil on earth (rain, thunder, etc.). The Dragon is one of the most popular mythical beast and as such, is tied to a enormous number of myths and legends of all kinds. Note that this Fuchi/Kashira set isn't of the highest quality. This is the entry level model of the Minosaka lineup.

Minosaka's Iaito lineup allows many customizations but each model is fixed and named depending on its Fuchi & Kashira. This model is the default Fuchi/Kashira set mounted on the Tokusei Koshirae.
