Extra-Rigid Leather Tsuba - Round (For Classic & Deluxe Bokken)

Round tsuba made of thick leather for classic Bokken. Leather is a natural, "living" material, slight differences in the shape of the tsuba and its color are possible. The emphasis is not placed on the appearance but it is an excellent model to effectively protect your hands! 

This round leather tsuba is designed for thick-bladed traditional (Koryu) wooden swords.

By adjusting the hole yourself (by carefully shaving it), it can be used with swords such as the Keishi Ryu Bokken, Iwama Ryu Bokken, Jiki Shinkage Ryu (Naginata Yo) Bokken, and Ono-ha Itto-ryu Shoto and Bokken.

Due to the handmade nature of wooden swords, thickness may vary slightly depending on the craftsman's finishing. On the other hand, regardless of the material of the tsuba, whether plastic or leather, each tsuba hole is designed to be slightly smaller, as a larger hole could cause the tsuba to come off during practice. Depending on the wooden sword you pair it with, you may need to adjust the tsuba hole by shaving it down yourself. This Tsuba cannot be fitted on thin Koryu Bokken (Yagyu, Yagyu Shinkage, Niten Ichi Ryu, etc.). 

Please note that the Tsuba is shipped in its original shape and we cannot adjust the tsuba hole to your weapon.
Please note that we cannot fit a Tsuba to weapons without a demarcation line (Tsubanashi) on our side.
