avec leur semelle épaisse et leur surface agréable au contact du pied je les porte en permanence à mon domicile. La taille la plus petite proposée ne permet pas à mon pied de 24.5 cm (EU 38.5) de les porter à la japonaise avec le talon qui dépasse. Trés satisfait de mon achat je recommande vivement. (envoi rapide super bien emballé)

Les setta sont très confortables. Pour la taille, le tableau est très bien fait et correspond parfaitement.

Outre l'élégance de ce modèle, il y a un bénéfice secondaire à avoir une paire de setta qui ne ressemble pas aux autres setta ou zori en tatami.
Quand vous allez en stage, dans un nouveau dojo, avec de nombreux pratiquants, il est beaucoup plus facile de retrouver sa paire !

Materials and construction: 4/5. The construction of the setta is solid and the synthetic deer leather is soft to the touch, yet holds up well with repeated wear. The bottom of the sole feels more like a high-density foam rather than rubber shoe soles that westerners may be accustomed to. For indoor/dojo wear or occasional outdoor wear this pair should hold up for years, but those walking on rough surfaces daily may find their setta soles wearing out a fair bit sooner.

Fit and feel: 5/5. I am a size 25 cm and the L size fits me perfectly, with just a little bit of my heel poking out just past the end. Compared to the kitatami setta also offered by Seido, the straps on this model are a bit roomier and require less time to break in (though I don't know if this is a difference in the model design or just variance from individual craftsmanship). The straps themselves are softer and more comfortable than those on the kitatami setta. Keep in mind these setta are designed for Asian sizes, so folks with a wide instep may find them tighter than expected.

Value: 4/5. In my opinion the price is a bit steep, but it can be very difficult to find setta of this quality in physical shops anywhere outside Japan or dedicated budo equipment stores, so I'd say it's fair. Plus you get Seido's customer support too. Outside of physically visiting and shopping in Japan, a westerner has precious few options for footwear like this at a cheaper price.

I usually use the tatami version, and I think I prefer this one a bit more. It’s a similar light weight construction, but the black looks nicer and there is no typical smell of freshly cut grass as with the tatami version. All in all, it’s a very comfortable pair of Zori to wear around the house or dojo and looks good with dogi and hakama.

Have ordered a dojo bag from Seido before and was really impressed with their attention to detail. I was looking for replacement dojo zori and went back to my trusted source for Made in Japan merchandise. Of course you can get cheaper imitation setta but, these are the real thing made by martial artists for martial artists. Love the attention to detail. Love the fact that all materials are sourced in Japan. Exceptional quality, exceptional company. I just ordered another pair for my son.

I actually looked up hpw these were constructed, and I am very very happy I sprung for the deluxe model. Also, Seido is crazy-fast with shipment!
