Diameter: ~ 27 mmA short wooden stick maid of solid white oak, manufactured by one of the last traditional workshops for wooden weapons in Japan, is used in diverse martial arts for self defence. "Keibo" literally means "police stick" and is a truncheon utilized as one of the weapons in Taiho-jutsu (arresting art), developed by Japan's feudal police.
This model feature a loop (corde) to be attached on the wrist to avoid loosing the weapon.
Until recently the Japanese police was using a metal telescopic version called tokushu keibo. It has been removed from standard equipment due to multiple cases of very serious injuries during suspects arrests.Made of Japanese white oak (Shirakashi) with a urethane varnish finish.
