Jacket Option - Chest & Hips Cord
- A set of cords to secure the jacket during practice, at the level of the chest and/or hips.
- The chest cord (Mune Himo) at the upper part of the collar is especially recommended to women.
- The hips cord (Koshi Himo) is added on the inside and completely hidden, therefore appreciated by both, men and women.

- A set of Velcro tape to secure the jacket during practice, at the level of the chest and/or hips.
- This option was often requested by customers and is a modern take on of the classic chest cord.
- We still recommend the classic cord option, because it is more adaptable it keeps the jacket better in place.

Jacket Alteration - Sleeves Cut
- Adjust the fit by shortening the sleeves of your jacket.
- The length that is chosen in the selector is the length you want to shorten (cut off) on each sleeve. On average, customers demand a shortening of 6 to 12 cm. Refer to the size chart of each Dogi to know the precise length of the sleeves, but do not forget to take shrinkage into account (about 2 cm).
- This is a good option, if you like a larger cut (or an overall larger size) but still prefer shorter sleeves.

Seido Tenugui - Seishin Itto Nanigoto ka Narazaran
Made in Japan
This traditional Tenugui (Japanese hand towel) can be used as such in Kendo, Nippon Kempo or Jukendo but also as small towel to wipe off sweat during practice.
In the center is the logo of the Seido brand, the Kanji "Do" or "Michi", found in Aikido, Judo, Karatedo etc. which means "way".
Roughly translated as "where there is a will, there is a way", this well known proverb "Seishin Itto Nanigoto Ka Narazaran" means more precisely "when the mind is concentrated, nothing is impossible".
Please hand-wash in cold water before first use.

Dogi & Hakama Sashiko Bag
Made in Japan
Material: 100% Unbleached Sashiko Cotton
Dimensions: 43 cm x 55 cm (rope length is about 195 cm in total).
Embroidery color: 18 colors to chose from (the same color applies for both the kanji main design and the name option).
Name option: Name embroidery at the bottom of the bag (see product pictures)
This cotton bag can fit a dogi, hakama, belt and towel. The ropes and port on the back are thick and comfortable. For optimal quality, Seido logo, Aikido calligraphy, "Ki" calligraphy and all other designs are not printed but embroidered. Made 100% from japanese made unbleached sashiko cotton, this product is eco friendly.

Here are all the designs we offer and their meaning:
- The Seido embroidery is based on the Seido label attached to all Seido equipments.
- The Aikido embroidery is based on a calligraphy found in the main dojo of Aikikai Hombu Dojo. It was created by Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei when he was 80 years old, a period in his life when his calligraphy reached its peak. Note that the depth and extension of ideograms are a sign of an open mind.
- The "Ki' embroidery is based on the same calligraphy as the "Aikido embroidery" but only contains the second kanji "Ki".
- Judo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Karatedo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Kendo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Iaido - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Jujutsu - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Zanshin - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : Remaining mind, or lingering mind.
- Mushin - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : No mind (mental state), or mind without mind.

Option "Name Embroidery":
Optionally, you can add your name as embroidery. It will be embroidered on the left of the bottom part (same high as the Seido label), with a font size of 2 cm by 2 cm.
Please note that due to our technical settings and to improve the overall balance, it is only possible to embroider either a first name, a last name or a word (1 word).

Aikido Embroidered Face Towel

This white towel embroidered with the Aikido kanji, romaji or with the Seido logo, is 100% cotton with a weight of 100 g. Especially designed for absorbing perspiration during sport practice, it is strong, durable, and soft to the skin.
With its special size adapted for wiping the face, this towel folds easily for storage in the keikogi or can just as easily be worn around the neck.
- Embroidery design # 1: Aikido kanji with the traditionnal embroidery font Kaishotai.
- Embroidery design # 2 is made directly based on a calligraphy found in the main dojo of Aikikai Hombu Dojo. Shape: New Aikido CutCreated to suit the needs of both beginner and advanced Aikidoist, this lightweight Aikidogi has been designed by our team with a longer jacket and slightly shorter sleeves.
This model is born from the close collaboration between the only Aikido equipment brand run by Aikidoists; Seido and the most experienced and best Dogi manufacturer in Japan, KuSakura. KuSakura, inventor of the modern Judogi, is the only manufacturer controlling the entire production chain from fabric weaving to quality control of the finished item.
We wanted to offer a model that is lightweight yet, resistant and durable enough for intense practice, have it fully made in Japan but still available at a low price. We also needed a fast production guaranteed but without compromising on a high quality finish - and there was only one option. We had to enforce our partnership and work in tandem with KuSakura to produce the most amazing cost performance product on the market.To keep this Aikido jacket as light as possible, we chose one of KuSakura's old Kosashiko (small rice grain) fabric. It looks like the traditional rice grain fabric, but with smaller and thinner grains, making the fabric incredibly soft and easy to wear, but still benefits from the resistance that is typical for Sashiko fabric.
For maximum comfort and a nice look, we opted for the collar to be from the same Kosashiko fabric. And since one of the goals was to make it as comfortable and soft as possible, we also removed the reinforcement on the chest.
The sizing is designed to fit almost any body type. The weight indicated in the option select box is the ideal recommended weight range in relation to the height. For example: 4 (165 ~ 175 cm | 55 ~ 70 kg) means that practitioners of 165 cm and about 55 to 60 kg or practitioners of 175 cm and about 65 to 70 kg will have a perfect fit.
For practitioners slimmer than the displayed perfect fit, we recommend half a size smaller.
For practitioners bigger than the displayed perfect fit, the size features an acceptable fit up to +10 kg (i.e. 170 cm and 80 kg).Despite its price, this model is 100% made in Japan.
This product consist of a jacket only. The products "pants only" and "jacket and pants set" are also available.
