Kiku Suisen Menuki - M001
This made in Japan Menuki features two flowers, chrysantemum and narcissus. The Chrysanthemum, or Kiku in Japanese, is a symbol that represents longevity and rejuvenation It is the symbol of the imperial familly since the Kamakura period but is also part of more than 150 Kamon (familly crests). The Narcissus, or "Suisen" in Japan is composed of 水”Sui” water and 仙”sen” wizard. It is also called Kinsen Gindai, 金盞 ”Kinsen” for golden calix and 銀台 ”Gindai” for silver tray.
