Calligraphy size (total): 123 cm x 45 cm
Calligraphy size (paper): 70 cm x 33.5 cmJo-ha-kyū is a concept that developed in gagaku music and that rapidly spread to all main Japanese traditional arts. Jo-ha-kyū outlines an art form's flow, which should follow three distinct cadences: start slowly, pick up speed, and finish swiftly. Some martial traditions like Tatsumi apply the Jo-ha-kyū concepts to their kata or the general flow of their techniques.
This Kakejiku is a "Maruhyoso Kakejiku": It is made in Japan with high-quality kifune donsu. The honshi is made of high-grade gasen-shi, a traditional paper made of natural fibers used primarily for Sumi-e (brush painting) and calligraphy.
This calligraphy is offered with a Kiri wooden box
Kiri, known in the West as paulownia, is a lightweight wood with a distinctive silky surface. Kiri is commonly used to make furniture, musical instruments, and storage boxes due to its unusual fiber structure, which renders it nearly impervious to moisture. It also has excellent insect resistance since it contains a lot of tannins.Unique piece. Upon placing the product in your cart, the product is reserved for a short amount of time.
