Jisei Series Iaito
About the Jisei Workshop & their Iaito production
Jisei is a traditional workshop, that started about 50 years ago, situated in the region of Gifu, the cradle of the most famous Japanese sword. Each weapon is made to order within about 10 weeks. Although the mechanical qualities of the Jisei Iaito are similar to that of the Minosaka Iaito, the Jisei Iaito feature a different "aura", meaning more modern finishes. All Jisei Iaito are available with a lightweight blade, standard blade or a heavy blade.
To help you chose the best Iaito for you, here is a recapitulative table based on the Japanese Iaido federation recommendations (for blade length) and the workshop (for the Tsuka length and weight). Note that the weight is taken without the Saya and is an average weight and may slightly vary depending on the selected options.
